How do we reimagine teacher training and professional development?

Keeping education relevant is a wicked problem. How do we know what skills students will need for the future? Why is it so difficult to be relevant? What does relevant even mean? We know it’s important. If students do not find their education relevant, they may drop out. If the learned skills are not relevant, students will not be able to succeed in the workforce of the future. The pace of technology innovation creates another layer of problems in keeping education relevant. How can educators keep up? One way of addressing this wicked problem is to ensure that educators are provided with relevant teacher training and professional development experiences.
